Terms and Conditions of Himalayan Paradise Trek

The Contract and Booking Your Trip:

Please go through the following Terms and Conditions that govern the relationship between you (client) and Himalayan Paradise Trek and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. Please note that while booking a trip, you are agreeing to be bound by the Terms and Conditions as well as the cancellation policy and certain limitations of liability. Both parties agree to these Terms and Conditions to resolve any legal or other disputes that may arise during the trip. All bookings are made with Himalayan Paradise Trek and Expedition Pvt. Ltd., Registered Company Number 91320/068/069, whose registered office is in Kapan Kathmandu, Nepal. The head of the company is Chhiri Tendi Sherpa.
All the travelers must agree on the following "Terms and Conditions" before booking any trip with Himalayan Paradise Trek and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. Himalayan Paradise is a Nepal-based trekking and adventure company and fully licensed and registered with the Department of Tourism and Government of Nepal.

Guest Agreement and Declaration

Trekking and walking, climbing and mountaineering in remote parts of this Himalayan country carries an inherent risk, due to the weather which is beyond our control, and may cause injury and death. Although we always do our best to reduce any risks and dangers to our capacity, still there are chances of accidents happening; and to this you must agree.

Please read the following Terms and Conditions of Booking very carefully:

The terms and conditions related to booking used in this web site, refer to all itineraries described on this website including those which might otherwise be known as walking, tours, treks, trips, sightseeing, climbing, mountaineering, expeditions or holidays.

To confirm your trip, we require a photocopy of your passport and Euro 150 per person as a non-refundable advance payment. This is necessary to book flight tickets, hotels and for permit processing.

Advance payments can be made from bank to bank wire transfer, online payment, Western Union, or by Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard), according to your convenience.

If payment is made by credit card, 4 % charge will be added to the amount due to the Company. (This applies to all payments; deposits, final balances, trip extension, and miscellaneous purchases.) This charge is imposed by the credit card payment service provider (your payment received through our credit card payment service provider) and is used, in part, to provide consumer protection for services purchased, in accordance with the terms and conditions pertaining to the being credit card used.

After you initiate the transfer, please e-mail us the bank reference number or remittance slips. Sometimes the bank forwards the money with a different name; if we have reference number/remittance slips and sender details, it will be easy for us to check.

Final Payment

The full payment will have to be made upon your arrival in Nepal and before departure for the trip. We reserve the right to cancel the trip if the full payment is not made in time. Package prices are on a twin-sharing basis. Single supplements are available for an additional fee.

Cancellation of a Tour by the Client

If a client voluntarily or involuntarily terminates/cancels the trip once the trip has started, no refund will be given for missed or unused services of the trip regardless of the reason i.e. sickness, or any other unfortunate events.

Cancellation of a Tour by the Company

Himalayan Paradise Trek shall not be responsible for any changes in the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstances i.e. natural disasters, weather conditions, government restrictions, political unrest, wars, strikes, road blockage, flood, flight cancellation or delay, sickness or accident. Any extra cost incurred due to such causes shall be borne by the client at the time.

If we are compelled to cancel the trip under circumstances beyond our control, like snow, landslide or other unexpected circumstances, we will do our utmost to provide you alternative trip of a comparable nature and value.

Delay of Flight Due to Bad Weather

Domestic flights to mountain regions can be delayed due to bad weather. In such cases, the client will be responsible to bear all additional expenses including food and accommodation.

If the client wishes to make an alternative arrangement such as a helicopter flight to avoid flight delays Himalayan Paradise Trek will assist in making the booking, but will not cover the cost of the alternative arrangement. The refunded money of the unused flight ticket would be credited to the concerned client.

Missed International Flight

In the event of a missed international flight or any amendments of the existing international flights of guests, Himalayan Paradise Trek would not accept any responsibility for costs incurred but would assist to make alternative arrangements wherever possible.

We highly recommend the client to schedule one or two extra days if their trip involves flights from remote mountain areas.

VISA & PASSPORT

You must carry a valid passport and have obtained the appropriate visas to travel with Himalayan Paradise Trek. Please ensure your passport is valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. A Nepal Tourist Visa is available on arrival in Nepal. For Tibet & Bhutan, the company can make necessary arrangements upon request.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas for the countries you are traveling to. Himalayan Paradise Trek cannot accept responsibility if you are refused entry to a country or places because you lack the correct visa documentation.

Last Minute Booking


We understand it is never too late to plan for a holiday. We accept last minute bookings. You can book a trip to Nepal up to one week prior to the trip departure dates. However, for restricted areas and peak climbing, we request you to confirm at least 3 months before trip starting date. For Day Trips or City Tours and short hikes, visit our Kathmandu office when you are in Nepal.

Injuries or Evacuation

Himalayan Paradise Trek is committed to do everything possible to make our client’s journey pleasant and safe. Our guides are selected on the basis of their leadership ability under normal circumstances as well as emergencies. They are certified in First Aid, experienced in altitude-related symptoms and management and medical evacuation.

However, Himalayan Paradise Trek will not be liable for any injury or health problem experienced by the client during the trip.

Travel Insurance

Our package cost does not include our guest’s personal insurance. The guest himself/herself must acknowledge the risk implicated in the tour in regard to harm. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure their health and physical fitness is adequate prior to book their trip.

We strongly advise the clients to make sure their insurance package covers medical expenses including injury, illness, emergency evacuation by helicopter, trip cancellation, theft or damage or delay of baggage and repatriation. If by chance the travel insurance of guests doesn't cover these expenses mentioned above, then the guests are liable to settle the expenses occurred accordingly. The insurance should cover the full duration of travel in Nepal.

Legal Obligation

Clients must produce all necessary documents for official documents such as visas and permits. We will not be accountable for any obstruction arising due to incomplete/insufficient documents.

Himalayan Paradise Trek arranges tours in Nepal, India, Tibet, and Bhutan in accordance with the rules, regulations and policies of the respective country.

If a client commits any unlawful act during the trip, we reserve the right to expel you from the group. No refund will be provided in such cases.

During the course of the trip certain events may occur, including, but not limited to, accident or illness in remote places without medical facilities, political instability and the forces of nature. You agree to assume all risks associated with the journey d

You acknowledge that Himalayan Paradise Trek contracts with a network of companies, government agencies and individuals, to assist in the running of its tours, treks, walking, holidays & expeditions. To the best of Himalayan Paradise Trek knowledge, these third parties are qualified to perform the duties they are contracted to perform. However Himalayan paradise will not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss, delay or irregularity that may occur due to the behavior of these third parties.

Most of the Trip prices do not include the following:

Personal travel insurance both Emergency, medical and evacuation

Visa, passport, and vaccination charges

International flight to/from Nepal, and to our destinations of operation, and departure airport taxes to the respective countries.

Extra meals, transport costs, accommodation costs and other expenses not included in the itinerary

Laundry, postage, personal clothing (unless provided in the itinerary), medical expense and items of a personal nature

Emergency evacuation and/or searches

Items not mentioned in the itinerary.

Tips and excess baggage charge

The terms and conditions of all agreements made with The Company shall be subject to and governed by, Nepalese law.
