Round Annapurna Trek Itinerary


  • Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel

    You will arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport. One of our team representatives will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is leisure for you to rest. Later, in the evening, you will meet with the crew and have a traditional welcome dinner. You will stay overnight in the hotel.

  • Day 02 Sightseeing and preparation for trek

    You will wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. After that, you will go on the sightseeing tour. You will visit Boudhanath Stupa, which is the largest stupa of Nepal and then, you will visit one of the holiest temples of Hindus where every ear hundreds and thousands of pilgrims visit to worship Lord Shiva, Pashupatinath Temple. Later, you will move towards Kathmandu Durbar Square, which used to be the royal residence in ancient time. In the Durbar square, you will get to see several shrines, temples, courtyards, and a palace. In the evening, you will explore the bustling streets of Thamel and also prepare for the trek.

  • Day 03 Kathmandu to Besishahar drive by car or van, 5-6hrs.

    Today, you will drive to the Besisahar. The drive will be long and present beautiful views of green hills, forest, river, terraced fields, and small settlements. Upon reaching Besisahar, you will have lunch and spend the rest of the day exploring the region. You will stay overnight here in Besisahar.

  • Day 04 Besisahar to Chame by jeep, 5-6hrs.

    After having breakfast, you will drive to Chame. The drive will be of course scenic and do include dirt road. Upon reaching Chame, you will have lunch and again spend the day exploring the Chame village and its nearby areas. You will stay overnight in the Chame.

  • Day 05 Chame to Pisang, 6-7hrs.

    Today, you will begin trekking through a steep and narrow valley. On the way, you will get to observe the first view of Paungda Danda, which is an enormous curved rock rising 1,500 meters from the river. Moreover, you will also see astonishing views of Annapurna South (7219 m), Annapurna II (7937 m), and Pisang Peak (6091 m) in the northeast. Further, you will descend to the Manang Valley floor and trek to reach Pisang.

  • Day 06 Pisang to Manang, 6-7hrs.

    There are two ways to reach Manang from Pisang and you will go through the Upper Pisang via Geru. This route offers wonderful views of Mt. Annapurna (8091 m), Pisang Peak (6091 m), and many other mountains. As you trek and reach near to the Manag, you will notice environment changing into cold and dry. On the way, you will visit old and the biggest monastery of Manang District, Barge monastery. You will stay overnight in Manang.

  • Day 07 Manang acclimatization day

    Today is your first rest day at Manang to make your body acclimatized with the increased altitude. You have already gained so much altitude, therefore this rest day is very important for your body to keep yourself away from the altitude sickness. You will spend the day by exploring the village. You will go on a small hike to either Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake. You can also hike to the Vraga village where can get brief info on Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) at the Himalayan Rescue Association.

  • Day 08 Manang to Yak Kharka, 5-6hrs.

    After having breakfast, you will begin trekking towards Yak Kharka. Leaving Marsyangdi Valley back, you will ascend steadily through Tenki Manang. Then, you will cross the Jarsang Khola Valley and reach Yak Kharka where you will stop for the night.

  • Day 09 Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi or High camp, 5-6hrs.

    The first couple of hours is going to be an ascend today. After that, you will descend to cross a river located at 4,310 meters. From here, you will ascend to Thorong Phedi (4450 m) where you will stay for the night.

  • Day 10 Thorong Phedi via Thorong-La pass to Muktinath, 7-8hrs.

    Today, you will wake up early in the morning around 4 am to climb to the challenging Thorong La Pass by 9-10 am as, the time passes and the sun begins to rise above your head, the strong winds will make the trail even more difficult. The trail will be steep ascend on the snowy path all the way up to the pass. Upon reaching the Thorong La Pass, you will see various colorful prayer flags and chortens. You will get to see enchanting views of snow-capped mountains and landscape from the top. After spending some time on the top, you will descend down to one of the holiest sites of Hindus, Muktinath. Every year hundreds of pilgrims visit this place to worship. There are several temple and monasteries located here.

  • Day 11 Muktinath to Marpha via Kagbeni : Jomsom, 6-7hrs.

    After having breakfast, you will begin your trek towards Jomsom. You will ascend and descend several times through forested trail and small villages to reach Kagbeni. From here, the trail will lead you to the Jomsom where you will stop for the night. Jomsom is one of the most beautiful regions of Nepal.

  • Day 12 Marpha to Pokhara by jeep or bus, 6-7hrs.

    You will trek and reach Marpha, which is famous for its delicious apples and apple products. From here, you will drive back to Pokhara. The drive will be long and presents wonderful views of terraced fields, green hills, river, and small villages. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will head to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax.

  • Day 13 Sightseeing in Pokhara in the morning and in the afternoon fly to Kathmandu

    After having breakfast, you will go on the guided sightseeing tour in Pokhara. You will hike to the World Peace pagoda from where the entire city of Pokhara can be seen along with amazing views of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6993 m). Further, you will visit Davis Falls, and then to Mahendra Cave located nearby the fall. Later, you will head to the airport to fly back to Kathmandu.

  • Day 14 Sightseeing in Kathmandu

    After having breakfast, you will go on the guided sightseeing tour of the places you have missed before. You will visit Swayambhunath, which is also known as the Monkey Temple. Further, you will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. Both of these durbar squares represent distinctive historical events and different form of art and architecture. All of the landmarks that you will visit here in Kathmandu are the part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In the evening, you will return back to your hotel for the night stay.

  • Day 15 Transport to airport for departure.

    Transfer to International Airport and fly to your next destination.
