Round Annapurna and Poon Hill Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel. (Overnight at Hotel).

Day 2: Free day to preparation for trek. (Overnight at Hotel).

Day 3: Drive to Besishahar by car after lunch drive to Bhulbhule by jeep (Overnight at lodge).

Day 4: Bhulbhule to Jagat (Overnight at lodge).

Day 5: Jagat to Dharapani (Overnight at lodge).

Day 6: Dharapani to Chame (Overnight at lodge).

Day 7: Chame to Pisang (Overnight at lodge).

Day 8: Pisang to Manang (Overnight at lodge).

Day 9: Manang acclimatization day. (Overnight at lodge).

Day 10: Manang to Yak Kharka (Overnight at lodge).

Day 11: Yak kharka to Thorong Phedi or High camp. (Overnight at lodge).

Day 12: Thorong Phedi via Thorong-La pass (5416m) to Muktinath . (Overnight at lodge).

Day 13: Muktinath to Jomsom via Kagbeni.

Day 14: Jomsom to Pokhara by flight (Overnight at lodge).

Day 15: Sightseeing in Pokhara (Overnight at hotel BB plan).

Day 16: Pokhara to Kathmandu by flight in the afternoon Free day in afternoon (Overnight at hotel on BB plan).

Day 17: Sightseeing in Kathmandu (Overnight at Hotel).

Day 18: Sightseeing in Kathmandu (Overnight at Hotel).

Day 19 Final Departure.

  • Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel. (Overnight at Hotel on BB plan):

    You will arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport. After landing of your aircraft, you will be welcomed by one of our team delegates. He/she will take you to your hotel and the rest of the day is leisure for you to relax. Later, in the evening, you will meet with your guide, and he will brief you about the trip. You will have a delicious welcome dinner. 

  • Day 02 Free day to preparation for trek. (Overnight at Hotel on BB plan):

    Today is your free day for the preparation of the trek. You will arrange all the gears with your guide and do quick shopping if needed. While you will arrange gear our other representatives will take all the permits required to trek in this region. In the evening, you will explore the lively and colorful streets of Thamel.

  • Day 03 Drive to Besishahar by car after lunch drive to Bhulbhule by jeep (Overnight at lodge):

    Today after having breakfast, you will dive to Besishahar and then to Bhulbhule. It is going to be a long ride yet loaded with beautiful views of lush green hills, forest, river, and small settlements. Upon reaching Besishahar, you will take a small break and have lunch. After having lunch, you will again begin your drive towards Bhulbhule where you will stop for the night. 

  • Day 04 Bhulbhule to Jagat (Overnight at lodge):

    You will ascend towards the Jagat village today. The trail will be around seven hours long. Trekking on a zigzag trail passing by Syange village, you will descend down to a river bank. From here onwards, you will descend on a rocky path to reach Jagat village where you will stay overnight. Jagat is a small beautiful village and resided by Tamangs and Gurungs. 

  • Day 05 Jagat to Dharapani (Overnight at lodge):

    The trail from here takes you into the Manang district. After crossing a thrilling bridge near Tal, the trail goes through rice, potato, and barley fields. On the way, you will pass by lovely cascading waterfalls and Kodo village before reaching Dharapani your stop for the night. As a matter of fact, Dharapani is one of the largest villages of Manang district.

  • Day 06 Dharapani to Chame (Overnight at lodge):

    Today, the trail is going to be a little difficult as you will trek on a steep forested trail along with several landslides area. On the way, you will get to see captivating views of Annapurna II (7,937 m), Annapurna IV (7,525 m), and Lamjung Himal (6,983 m). Before reaching Chame, you will come across a small hot spring where you will stop to relax and continue your trek to reach Chame.

  • Day 07 Chame to Pisang (Overnight at lodge):

    You will begin trekking through a steep and narrow valley. You will get to witness the first view of Paungda Danda, which is a huge curved rock rising 1,500 meters from the river. Moreover, you will also see stunning views of Annapurna II (7,937 m), Annapurna South (7,219 m), and Pisang Peak (6,091 m) in the northeast. You will descend to the Manang Valley floor and trek further, to reach Pisang.

  • Day 08 Pisang to Manang (Overnight at lodge):

    There are two routes to reach Manang from Pisang. You will go through the Upper Pisang via Geru as this route offers excellent views of Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m), Pisang Peak (6,091 m), and many other mountains. You will notice climate changing into cold and dry as you will get closer to Manang. On the way, you will visit ancient and the biggest monastery of Manang District, Barge monastery. You will stay overnight in Manang.

  • Day 09 Manang acclimatization day. (Overnight at lodge):

    Today is your first rest day at Manang to make your body acclimatized with the increased altitude. You will spend the day by exploring the village. You will go on a short hike to either Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake. You can also hike to the Vraga village where can get brief info on Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) at the Himalayan Rescue Association.

  • Day 10 Manang to Yak Kharka (Overnight at lodge):

    After having breakfast, you will begin trekking towards Yak Kharka. Leaving Marsyangdi Valley behind, you will ascend gradually through Tenki Manang. Further, you will cross the Jarsang Khola Valley and reach Yak Kharka where you will stay for the night. 

  • Day 11 Yak kharka to Thorong Phedi or High camp. (Overnight at lodge):

    The first couple of hours is going to be an ascend today. After that, you will descend to cross a river located at 4,310 meters. From here, you will ascend to Thorong Phedi (4,450 m) where you will stay for the night. 

  • Day 12 Thorong Phedi via Thorong-La pass (5,416m) to Muktinath . (Overnight at lodge):

    Today, you will wake up early in the morning around 4 am to reach the Thorong La Pass by 9-10 am as, the time passes and the sun begins to come above your head the strong winds will make the trail even more strenuous. The trail will be steep ascend on the snowy path all the way up to the pass. Upon reaching the Thorong La Pass, you will see numerous colorful prayer flags and chortens there. You will get to see breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and landscape from the top. After spending some time here, you will descend down to one of the holiest sites of Hindus and Buddhism Muktinath. Every year hundreds of pilgrims visit this place to worship. There are several temple and monasteries located here. 

  • Day 13 Muktinath to Jomsom via Kagbeni:

    After having breakfast, you will begin your trek towards Jomsom. You will ascend and descend several times through forested trail and small villages to reach Kagbeni. From here, the trail will lead you to the Jomsom where you will stop for the night. Jomsom is one of the most beautiful regions of Nepal. 

  • Day 14 Jomsom to Pokhara by flight (Overnight at lodge):

    You will wake up early and have breakfast. After that, you will head to the airstrip to take your flight to Pokhara. The flight will be scenic and present you stunning views of snow-capped mountains and hills. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will be escorted to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax.

  • Day 15 Sightseeing in Pokhara (Overnight at hotel BB plan):

    After having breakfast, you will go on the guided sightseeing tour in Pokhara. You will hike to the World Peace pagoda from where the entire city of Pokhara can be seen along with amazing views of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993 m). Further, you will visit Davis Falls, and then to Mahendra Cave located nearby the fall. Later in the evening, you will explore the Lakeside market and do boating in the tranquil Fewa Lake. 

  • Day 16 Pokhara to Kathmandu by flight in the afternoon Free day in afternoon (Overnight at hotel on BB plan):

    You will spend your morning in the Lakeside eating delicious food with the view of Few Lake and Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993 m). Later, in the afternoon, you will visit the airport to fly back to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, you will move to your hotel. In the evening, you will stroll on the vibrant streets of Thamel. 

  • Day 17 Sightseeing in Kathmandu (Overnight at hotel BB plan):

    Today, you will go on the guided sightseeing tour. You will be lead by a professional English Speaking guide. You will visit Pashupatinath temple, one of the sacred temples of Hindus devoted to Lord Shiva. From here, you will visit Boudhanath, the largest stupa of Nepal. Further, you will continue your tour towards Kathmandu Durbar Square where you will see several temples, shrines, palace, and courtyards. You will later explore the Ason market and head back to your hotel after having breakfast.

  • Day 18 Sightseeing in Kathmandu (Overnight at hotel BB plan):

    You will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. Both of these durvar squares represent different historical events and different form of art and architecture. You will also visit Swayambhunath, which is also known as the Monkey Temple. All of the landmarks that you will visit here in Kathmandu are the part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In the evening, you will return back to your hotel for the night stay.

  • Day 19 Final Departure:

    Transfer to International Airport and fly to your next destination.
